Executive Summary
Acted as electronic discovery expert for a large state regulatory agency seeking natural resource damages for a multi-district litigation matter, which had been filed against polluters. Attended meet and confer with U.S. District Court Judge Scheindlin’s Special Master. The purpose of the meeting was to reach an agreement on electronically stored information discovery protocols and best practices.
Business Challenge
Managed the Electronically Store Information (ESI) collection, processing, and review of over 200 custodians stored on enterprise systems (e.g. Environmental Management Systems, Oracle, GroupWise, Archive Servers, and File Servers) and local computers (e.g. desktops, laptops, and removable media).
Services Provided
Acted as the state regulatory agency’s expert, with regard to appropriate chain of custody and production practices. Advised client on best practice methodology to meet discovery obligations, while minimizing the impact on day-to-day business operations and personnel. Collected ESI from multiple sources including but not limited to servers and workstations.
